Remember, there are three basic types of eye splices - and it depends completely on the type of rope being spliced!
- 3-strand Eye (used for twisted nylon rope)
- Double Braid / Class 1 (core and jacket are made from same material)
- Hollow Core (rope with no jacket, single or double braid, usually high-test material)
- Double Braid / Class 2 (high-test core with lower-strength jacket)
